Why Does Picking Wedding Day Songs Need To Be So Difficult?

Weddings involve a lot of decisions. One of the millions of decisions that you will spend a great deal of time on when preparing for your wedding day is what wedding songs to play. You will spend more time figuring out which music to play than you will when choosing which wedding favor ideas to buy for your guests. You will need to choose the songs for the ceremony as well as the ones for the reception. It sounds fairly simple, but wait until the day comes when you have to do it.
Something to consider before hiring someone to play at your ceremony is what variety of music they can play. You may find out that you are very limited in your choices. Some church organ players aren’t experienced in playing non-traditional wedding songs.
You might be better off asking somebody you know who does this. If you have someone in your family or even a friend who is an excellent vocalist then that is one possibility. In a circumstance like that, you may be able to get some customized music that is just perfect for your wedding ceremony.
Weddings are meant to be really special. For many people, a wedding ceremony is the only truly formal event they will ever organize throughout their lives. Remember that when choosing your songs. This is why people choose the most beautiful and elegant classical music pieces for their ceremony like The Wedding March. Just about any piece of classical music that is played primarily with string instruments or a quartet is going to be absolutely beautiful. When you play music that magnificent it really sets the right mood for the marriage.
Wedding receptions are a little different. When it is time for the reception to start, you may opt for a different pace of music. For that you might want to lighten things up a bit and lose just a little bit of the formality. One way to accomplish this is by playing nice restaurant dinner music. The best type of music I would recommend would be from Frank Sinatra or anything from The Rat Pack. That type of music reminds people of a time when people stated to really enjoy life.
Yet another change can happen once everyone finishes with their meal. It is time to play the love songs that get everyone else dancing. You need to shake things up by playing some slow paced love songs as well as a few back to back rounds of faster dancing music. You want to cover the generations too. That way you get the grandparents and older more experienced dancers out there. You may be surprised to find out that they are the only guests at the wedding reception who really know how to dance well. Dancing is a lost art.
If you are hiring a DJ for the wedding be sure you contact him and ask for his advice. If he is experienced he will already follow some basic outline of what I have already mentioned.
