MARRIAGE REQUIREMENTS
The following rules and guidelines apply to getting married in Turks & Caicos:
An application to marry may be submitted 48 hours after arrival.
Couple must be in the Turks & Caicos for 48 hours prior to making their marriage application with either the Pastor or Marriage Officer. To ensure smooth scheduling, etc. please contact either the Pastor or Marriage Officer as far in advance as possible.
Documents:
• Passports as proof of ID
• If divorced an original or notarized copy of divorce decree must be produced.
• If widowed an original or notarized copy of death certificate must be submitted.
• If under 21 years a notarized written consent of parents
All documents must be translated into English if not already.
A time period of two or three days will be required before you can receive the marriage license during which one or both parties must reside in the Turks & Caicos.
Marriage license must be registered at the Registrar General’s Office in Grand Turk following the ceremony.
It can take a few days to receive it in Providenciales.
