Wedding Planning And How To Guide Your Client

Part of the work required for a wedding planner is to help the bride make some of the decisions for the wedding night. You have to be able to lighten the stress-load for the bride. The bride may be excited about the wedding, but at the same time she can be overly-stressed or worried about some of the technical details for night. Your job is to ease her worries and help her make the best-available choices. So what can you do to help the bride plan the most unforgettable wedding night of her life?
Well one effective method you can start off with is to talk with the bride first. Get a feel for what kind of wedding experience she would like. What childhood dreams did she have for this one special night? What would it be like? The looks and the music? The people that are there? Once you have done this initial research, find a quiet place and sit down. Write what would be the ideal wedding night for you. At this stage, don’t worry about whether it is possible to logistically pull if off. We want to go crazy and all over the place at this initial stage.
Now, when you are done with this, look at the common themes and especially the experience that runs throughout the ideal vision. If you see a pattern, try to plan the wedding theme around that. It does not have to be exactly what the bride’s dream has, but it should contain the essence of it. Select several options and then sort them out in order of cost and style. Present it to the bride and discuss which options would they like and is the best for them overall.
Alright now it’s time to move on to the next stage and flesh out the actual wedding plan. You can get even better ideas and plans as you move along the planning stages. There are two places that the bride will definitely visit and place big importance on.
First is the wedding gown. Accompany the bride as she visits the various dress shops hunting for her dream wedding gown. As she tries on different looks and styles, you can get a feel for her tastes and how the wedding night might be tweaked to fit her dress.
Next up the cake shop is the bride’s must visit place. As she muses over the size and look of the cake, you can also take notes and give suggestions on how it might fit into her ideal wedding night. You can guide her along her decisions based on the ‘perfect wedding’ template you had done earlier. This makes things easier and the bride would also be happy that you are doing your job.

Unique Ideas for a Beach Wedding Theme

Unique Ideas for a Caribbean Beach Wedding Theme
Weddings have become much more than a blushing bride in a white dress walking down the aisle to say those two magical words, I do. Although that special moment is still a very important factor, many couples wish to break away from tradition and create for themselves a totally novel and unforgettable experience. One way to do this is by having themed beach wedding favors and decorations like beautiful origami seagulls and bridesmaid dresses in a sea blue tone with ruffled wave-like trim.
Everything about a theme wedding can be completely unique, from the cake to the decorations. It is nice to have a flowing theme for your wedding and some choose to have a beach wedding, especially if they wish to get married in a colder time of the year. Also, so many cute ideas can come from a beach wedding, like starfish cake toppers and sprinkled sand to walk on even in an indoor setting.
Most people prefer a wedding around spring time and this is also a perfect time to pick your place and send some beach wedding invitations. A beach theme wedding is very easy to work with and can take place indoors or out. You may even wish to do both, if you so choose!
Having a wedding that takes place partly indoors with cool refreshments and food and partly outdoors with fun activities and soaking up the sun can be a very creative idea indeed. Try incorporating plenty of seashells and images of island drinks into your beach wedding invitations to keep the beach theme going and maybe hire a real Caribbean wedding planner to help you with ideas.
If you are planning on having a beach wedding that lasts into the evening, or maybe are a night owl and prefer a wedding at dusk, you may wish to invest in some candles for mood and lighting. Water candles are a perfect choice to go with a beach theme as they have a magical touch of what looks like floating flames and the calmness of clear rocks and light colored flowers.
Making It Legal

One of the first items on your ‘Destination Wedding Checklist’ should be ensuring that your wedding will be legally recognized both in your destination and back at home. Requirements vary from country to country, so be sure to do your homework carefully and ahead of time!
Hiring a wedding planner can give you peace of mind when it comes to meeting all legal requirements. A planner will do the research for you and inform you of the important documentation and procedures required for a legally recognized marriage. This element will be looked into early in the planning process, but because laws are frequently changing, it’s important to keep abreast of any changing regulations.
The documents you will need to provide to obtain your marriage license will depend on your chosen destination, and typically includes birth certificates, passports, and proof of divorce or death of a previous spouse (if either has been married before). You may be required to send copies of these documents ahead of time so that they can be translated into the local language or be pre-registered at the local marriage office. Many locations, like Mexico for example, also require blood tests or medical tests. And some destinations require that you are in the country for a set duration prior to your ceremony, so be sure to check this out before making travel arrangements and reserving your wedding date. Again, the help of a wedding planner will ease such concerns.
If the procedures for a legal ceremony seem too daunting, you may opt to get hitched at city hall before you leave home and have a ‘symbolic’ ceremony at your destination. If you choose to be legally married in your hometown before embarking, your destination ceremony will not appear any differently to your guests – you can enjoy the same celebration with family and friends, minus the paperwork. If you decide to go this way, call your city hall to find out how far in advance you’ll need to get married before you take off to your destination. If you are having a religious wedding, your officiant may ask to see proof before performing the ceremony, so make sure there is time to process any paperwork you may need before you depart.
Whether you are preparing the legal components of your marriage alone or with the assistance of a wedding planner, remember to have fun with it – this step will help ensure you have the destination wedding celebration of your dreams!

A Caribbean Wedding
Having a wedding in the Caribbean is truly a special experience. You should be thrilled to have your wedding on one of these beautiful islands as they are all unique and beautiful each in their own way.
The fantastic climate, vibrant mix of people, delicious food and beautiful backdrops make an ideal setting for a wedding.
You have scenic backgrounds to choose from such as lush forests, mountains, beautiful white sandy beaches, sailboats & yachts, palm or coconut trees, birds of all kinds and everything else that you can imagine a Caribbean wedding to have.
Each country has its own set of marital laws which should be considered carefully when planning a wedding in a country foreign to your own. However, if you are planning a wedding on your own island you need not worry, but still be sure to investigate and make sure that you have all of the proper requirements well before your big day.
The key to planning a successful wedding in the Caribbean is by understanding all aspects involved in a wedding including costs, weather, location and more. Be sure to use the features of this site to help in your planning. This will make it much easier and more organized during the entire process.
A Caribbean wedding can be frustrating to plan because things are not always clear and concise, nor does it happen fast. It can be much more time consuming than a wedding abroad so the challenge here is to be organized and get the ground work in place thereby leaving lots of room and time to spend on decorating and choosing musicians, caterers and the lot.
Here are some helpful tips for getting started:
1) Decide on a date and remember to consider the time of year and the weather during that season
2) Choose the location of your wedding
3) Decide on a budget
4) Find suitable venues to choose from and put a tentative booking down
5) Book a church, mosque or temple or officiate
Once these things are done then you can start working on the finer details.

1. Do you have ideas and are not quite sure how to put it all together?
2. Do you work and cannot seem to get anything done?
3. Do you have an overpowering mother or mother-in-law whose ideas clash with yours?
4. Do you need help finding the right suppliers to suit your ideas and budget?
5. Are you simply at a loss to even start planning your wedding?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need help! So why not get it from someone who has the experience, the contacts and the passion to pull it all together?
Regardless if your budget is sky high or less than you’d like it to be, hiring a Wedding Coordinator will help you get the most for your budget and take the stress off what is likely to be the most wonderful day of your life!
Most Coordinators work on a commission structure, some offer free consultation meetings and some will even supervise your wedding day and take care of all the details right down to the last minute.
Do your research and perhaps talk to a friend that got married had a Wedding Coordinator.
Check their references and set a meeting to see if the person is someone you feel
Compatible with someone that can take your vision (or lack there of) and bring it to life!

Trinidad Wedding on a Shoestring Budget

Tying the knot on a shoestring budget.
Most of us dream about our Trinidad wedding day for years and years! There is no reason why you need to spend all your life’s earnings on one day so I have a few tips that will help you put a little creativity into your planning to help you save big without breaking the bank or compromising your style!
1. Plan a house wedding and save thousands on venue rental.
2. Save on formal printed invitations by making them yourself. Get creative! You can purchase do-it-yourself kits that will let you print the invitations yourself and save big! Check out: www.michaels.com, www.mygatsby.com, www.dizzidezine.com. You can also personalize stationery and favors yourself: www.myownlabels.com
3. Borrow what you can if are you sentimental. Most people know someone that has been married before and can borrow things like the cake fork and knife set, Granny’s wedding toasting glasses, the ring bearers’ pillow, jewelery, a unity candle, and even shoes! You may even be lucky to get a wedding dress from a friend or relative and altar it to look totally unique to you at a fraction of what a new dress would have cost.
4. Use your resources as now is the time to say “yes please” if someone offers you to print your ceremony programs, help out with flowers for the church, sew the bridesmaid dresses, or sing at the ceremony. Perhaps your aunt is great at making a good old Trinidad wedding black cake ask her to bake your Wedding cake. You will save a bundle and only have to pay to have it iced. Want to save more on the cake? Use real flowers instead of sugar flowers.
5. Cut out the fru fru and stick to simplicity! Perhaps instead of draping yards of fabric you can use plants with fairy lights to create some atmosphere. When using flowers stick to what is in season and available at the time of your wedding. For a cool lighting effect use spot lights in one colour against white linens for a dramatic and sophisticated effect.
6. Forget the expense of purchasing wedding favours! Either make your own or use that money towards investing in a good Deejay instead!
7. Cut and serve your wedding cake as part of your dessert options.

Notes from the Author:
Since I could talk I have been obsessed with weddings! It is simple…I love a wedding. I am not an events co-ordinator I am a Wedding Planner. I love being part of the most wonderful day in two people’s lives and I give 100% of my efforts to ensure that things run according to plan. My weakness…I love to plan a Tobago Wedding. The first wedding I did was in Tobago.
It is never too early to start planning.
