How To Pick The Perfect Wedding Dress for Your Trinidad  Wedding

Trinidad Wedding Dress

Your wedding gown is one of the most important parts of your Trinidad wedding.
Many of us have spent our whole lives dreaming about what we were
going to wear when we walked down that aisle. However, getting the
perfect gown isn’t always easy. Let’s take a look at how to find a
great fitting, great looking, fun wedding dress for your Trinidad wedding.
It’s a common piece of advice to dress for your shape, but that
doesn’t make it any less valid. Everyone needs to wear the gown that
works for them. Unfortunately, just like many other clothing
industries, the wedding industry has an ideal that it often sews to.
There are some things you can do to get around this and get a dress
 that looks good on you.
Women with apple shapes usually gain their weight around the middle
and have narrower hips. They may be frustrated by wedding gown
shopping, as this is the segment of the population that gets ignored
the most. A-line gowns and empire cuts are popular choice for women
with an apple shape, and longer lines are preferred. They help you
avoid the pregnant look that can come from a short raised waist.

If you’re a Trini woman with an hourglass shape, other people may thing you’re lucky,
until they try to do your shopping. Your pronounced waist means that
many gowns are too tight in the hips or too loose in the waist, and
similar problems happen in the bust. Hourglass shaped women should
consider getting a gown that fits their largest parts and have it
professionally taken in at the waist to get a perfect fit. Don’t be
 tempted to wear a sack!
Pear shaped women have larger hips and thighs, and often do well in
full skirts that show off the best of their bottom halves without
making them the center of attention. Use eye catching motifs toward
the top of the gown, not the middle or bottom, such as embroidery or
beadwork. Deep necklines can be a flattering choice, but only if
you’re comfortable in them.

If you have the opposite shape – a full bust with narrow hips, you
might feel self conscious about your breasts. Don’t try wearing
something loose and large to play them down, though – it’ll just look matronly
or shapeless. Consider well fitted garments that are plain at the top
and decorated in the skirt, instead.
Your Trinidad wedding location will have a big effect on the gown you pick,
as well. If you’re going to be wearing delicate fabrics or long trains
on the beach, you might want to think again. These are more suitable
for formal wedding halls. Look for gowns suitable for the outdoors if
you’re having a romantic beach or sea-side wedding on the North East coast of Trinidad or towards Chaguaramas.
Most of us don’t get to spend as much as we want to on the Trinidad wedding
of our dreams, meaning that we need to learn to save on our perfect gowns. Used
dresses are gaining in popularity, and if you’re a size six through
ten, you may have good luck with bridal sample sales. Rental dresses
mean you don’t have to worry about the dress after wearing. However,
the best thing you can do to save money is be creative. You don’t have
to stick to bridal shops to get a perfect dress, after all.

Remember that it’s your big day so choose the dress that not only looks great on your body but one that you also love.  It will make you feel more like a princess at your Trinidad wedding.
